"Situated on Rang Hill, we’re fortunate to be within a few minutes of many places that are on our list of frequent destinations. Places like Central Mall (5 minutes away), Phuket Town and all it has to offer (also 5 minutes away) and Bangkok Hospital is a 3-minute drive. Going further afield, Boat Lagoon and Royal Phuket Marina are a 15-minute drive, so access to the islands in Phang Nga Bay is really convenient. For beaches, there are choices in all directories but our favourites are Rawai and Cape Panwa. They’re about 20 minutes to the south.
One of the advantages of living so close to Phuket Town is the choice of restaurants. Very nearby is our favourite, "Crust” which offers excellent Italian at really reasonable prices. The owners are both graduates of Cordon Bleu in Paris and it shows. We also like “Flavour’, a delightful one-man restaurant serving Belgian cuisine worthy of a Michelin star. For entertainment, we almost always go to BeeBop (in the heart of Phuket Town), a jazz club with a very talented line-up of musicians. To me, it represents the best of what Phuket has to offer in nightlife.
As we’re only a brief walk into the Samkong village, shopping for the necessities or a quick meal is very easy.
For schooling, we have two excellent and nearby choices - the British International School and Headstart, both within 12 minutes driving time".
